I am watching for question:)
Nancy Blair
08:42:34
cant read the chart on the screen
Nancy Blair
08:42:48
can it beenlarged?
Penny Cote
08:43:17
The chart can be added to the SLCA website
Krista Aasen
08:43:18
so why are you already requiring new permits to fit with the proposed changes?
Krista Aasen
08:45:06
yes
Nancy Blair
08:47:50
we also have global warming in play...unforeseen conditions?
David Murphy
08:47:57
Not a question but a comment. most residents that live on the lake could tell you what a flood looks likes. Not sure that anyone would agree with a 11ft higher than the building code is now
Krista Aasen
08:48:18
yes, but the new flood level is beyond where most houses are built currently - it is an extreme difference
Craig & Mary-Anne
08:49:16
This can make some lots on the lake unbuildable?
Joseph Lamoureux
08:49:19
Cost for these studies
Krista Aasen
08:49:51
And is the same engineering firm that conducted this assessment one that will potentially benefit from having to assess where your home can be built?
David Murphy
08:49:56
if my house burns down my property could become worthless
penny paul
08:51:10
This issue is separate from the bylaw change to a 30 meter set back?
Krista Aasen
08:52:02
I still don’t understand why you haven’t had the bylaw passed yet, but are requiring new builds to adhere to that. How can this be justified? It’s not currently law.
Robert Lindores
08:52:42
Section 56 allows them to
penny paul
08:57:09
how will the tickets be enforced?
penny paul
08:59:08
Is it still predicted that commercial grow ops will be an allowed use on pretty well throughout all of sproat lake rural?
Dawn
09:00:33
What by law will deal with loud boats and excessive wakes
Craig & Mary-Anne
09:00:35
How long will it take the new zoning bylaw to be fully in place and adopted
Nancy Blair
09:00:45
logging?
Susan and Craig
09:02:10
we are concerned about the squatters in the woods and public transit buses coming out to our community. What is going on with these issues?
Nancy Blair
09:02:51
Road quality. many many big trucks
ryan mclean
09:03:45
Will the SLMP be active on the lake this summer? Can ACRD lobby the RCMP to be on the lake regularly? Their presence is very sporadic.
Cathy Burkosky
09:11:40
We are assuming there will be no glyphosate (RoundUp) used on these cuts where there is any possibility of run off into the Lake.
Greg Steel
09:11:55
will Mosaic clean up trails the were logged over?
Dawn
09:11:57
the area is being planted as of today. There is still lots of debris 5 days of clean up doesn’t address
penny paul
09:13:44
Why do you have to take it right to the road? It looks horrible. Money...… Mosaic is a bad corporate citizen.
Jim
09:15:03
Fuel load remains very high. 5 days of hogging will not make a dent.
Cathy Burkosky
09:15:54
After Tree planting, can you speak to use of Roundup to kill vegetation that competes with the planting? It should not be used around the Lake, too close to drinking water...
Penny Cote
09:16:58
Thank you to Mosaic for all the fire wood permits that I issued for them.
penny paul
09:21:59
how much more of Stirling Arm road will be logged? Will a biffer be left?

Hi Susan, we'll be sure to advise through Director Cote as well as through the SLCA. At this point we don't have any dates or information - likely won't be ready to discuss till this time next year.

we noticed that too. All kinds of animals bears Minks raccoons all in our yard after the logging
Penny Cote
09:49:49
Thank you to all for your patience and participation in tonights SLC AGM:) Stay Safe.
Susan and Craig
09:49:58
How do we get in touch with block watch organizers. so many people walking around along great central and the highway.
Cathy Burkosky
09:50:41
I agree about the logging. There should be a committee that holds their feet to the fire to log responsibly, even though they give firewood permits, the damage done by the logging needs to be checked.
Nancy Blair
09:50:41
marathon!
